Digital Logistics Platform for Regulating Saudi Arabia’s Transport Market
Contributed to the conceptual development of the Shahen platform, an integrated digital solution designed to regulate and modernize Saudi Arabia’s land transport and logistics sector in alignment with the Kingdom’s National Transport and Logistics Strategy. The project addressed key sector challenges including fragmented transport documentation, limited oversight over shipments, and the presence of unregulated operators affecting transparency and competitiveness. Through the design of a unified transport order platform and the integration of logistics management systems with government verification tools, Shahen enables centralized shipment tracking, standardized electronic contracts, and improved regulatory oversight. By enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening compliance, and supporting local carrier participation, the platform is designed to foster a more transparent and competitive logistics ecosystem while contributing to job creation and generating significant economic value, with projected revenues exceeding SAR 2 billion within the first five years of operation.
