Melius Consultancy partnered with Calia Group to assess the feasibility of establishing a modern fruit and vegetable packhouse in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley. Through a comprehensive study covering market demand, agricultural sourcing, logistics, and financial viability, our team translated a promising idea into a clear investment roadmap. The project addressed critical gaps in Lebanon’s fresh produce supply chain, including post-harvest losses, limited cold chain infrastructure, and weak traceability systems. By combining strategic insight with practical implementation planning, Melius helped shape a model designed to deliver safe, traceable, and high-quality produce to urban consumers while strengthening the link between farmers and modern retail markets.
